Existem histórias que se entrelaçam com a da própria cidade. A de Valdir da Silva é uma delas. Nascido em Guarapuava em 1967, ele descobriu aos 18 anos a paixão que definiria o futuro dele e o transformaria em uma referência na arte da fotografia. Hoje, ao celebrar 35 anos de uma carreira brilhante, a jornada é um verdadeiro legado de inovação, tradição e amor.

Tudo começou na antiga Colorest, o primeiro e único registro em carteira de trabalho. Foram cinco anos de aprendizado intenso até que o destino o chamasse para o verdadeiro voo. Em 1988, com equipamentos próprios e um sonho no coração, Valdir deu início à própria história no bairro Santa Cruz. Foi ali que uma bênção especial selou o caminho. “Antes de partir para o Canadá, o padre André Cupica me apresentou ao padre Salvador dizendo que eu erao fotógrafo oficial da igreja”. E assim ele se tornou.
Em 1990, o sonho ganhou um endereço e um nome: Foto Decolores, inaugurado na esquina da Saldanha com a Professor Becker. A jornada de crescimento continuou na Rua Guairá, em uma sociedade de uma década ao lado de seus irmãos, João Carlos (hoje da Monicolor) e Valdecir ‘Zico’.
O ano 2000 marcou o grande salto. Ao lado da esposa e grande parceira, Silvane Ortolan, Valdir inaugurou na esquina da Guaíra com a Marechal a marca que se tornaria sinônimo de excelência: o Foto Koris. Dos tempos mágicos da revelação em preto e branco na sala escura ao moderno laboratório digital, a tecnologia evoluiu, mas a essência permaneceu intocada: registrar com alma e amor cada história que passa por suas lentes.
ORTOLAN PHOTO DESIGN
Sempre visionário, em 2015 ele realizou mais um sonho ao inaugurar o prédio do Ortolan Photo Design no Parque do Lago. Ali, junto à esposa Silvane e à cunhada Jaqueline, que começou a própria jornada no Koris aos 14 anos e hoje é uma profissional de renome, a empresa se consolidou como um centro de criatividade e design fotográfico.
Ao olhar para trás, a emoção na voz de Valdir é evidente:
“Tenho orgulho desses 35 anos. Transformei minha vida, da minha família, de colaboradores e de tantos que aprenderam a amar a fotografia comigo. Guarapuava é meu lugar, minha raiz e minha maior inspiração.”
